PNM and UNC till they dead!!!!!!

November 6, 2007 · 1 Comment

Yes, PNM has won.

Trinidad and Tobago’s  2007 general elections, has proven one thing.

Middle Class citizens are no match for the grass root supporters.

I listened to Robin Montano, who barely let any of the other panelists have a word in edge-wise on Win TV, and for the first time in my life……. I agreed with what he was saying.

Well, except when he said “Putting the PNM in Power was like giving sex to children, they know it’s important, but they just don’t know what to do with it.”

Robin Maraj (the moderator) must have thought, “Damn, I almost made it to the end of this show without wetting my pants!”

”Come on Dude!! You and your entire family speak as if you swallowed a dictionary with your Uppity Trinidadian accent, and yet there was no other analogy that you could come up with?

Then again, this is the same man who told the media, “Suck my socks!”

Anyway, Robin (Montano) said something about the COP that I did not hear from anyone during this election.

Targeting mainly the Middle Class and “On the Fence” voters was a bad idea!

COP barely made any attempt to reach out to the grass-root UNC supporters and definitely made no attempt to reach out to the PNM grass-roots.

The man even made fun of the COP’s election jingle.

Don’t be fooled by the whole Maha Sabha support thing. COP reached out to the leadership of that organization as Montano said, and people were willing to put aside their religious affiliation for their political affiliation.

Please Sat, you are no match for the Great Basdeo Panday!

Knife and Fork Indians Panday called them, (COP) while he reminisced about the days of mixing dhal in Barrackpore.

Now that is a true politician!

Any man who can use Dhal as a political strategy deserves and award!

So my wife has a €2 million bank account……… what you want bitches????

Anyway, despite Gillian and Dokeran’s lofty ambitions of brining integrity back to politics, poor marketing and possibly no Jamaican reggae artists to spice up the campaign, left them with well, I am not even sure if they got that one seat in St Augustine.

Anyway another item discussed by Montano was the fact that, although PNM has won, 52% of the electorate did not vote PNM.

Alittle over half of the population don’t want Patrick Manning as Prime Minister.

What Patrick Manning needs to do is, reach out to the people who did not support PNM by talking with those political parties humble enough contribute to his existing manifesto so that people do not feel powerless to create change.

When I was at home, it was almost unbearable to hear all the complaints and witness millions of protests against the government.

Not that they weren’t warranted, I am concerned about what will happen now.

Possible uprisings???

People were already angry, 5 more years of the PNM.

With Panday less distracted by legal issues, exploiting people’s dissatisfaction will be an easy job for old Bas.

Worse yet, there are now 3 Pandays in the Parliament. Why don’t they just make Oma a senator and get it over with!

Anyway its all over now, all we can do is work with the government of the day, pray for Manning to do the right things and hope Panday goes back to jail!!

Who did you vote for?

Find this post interesting? if so, Digg it !

OMG, this was so funny. I think Patrick did reach out to them (yes we pitch marbles). But you are right. Bring government to the people.

It can be done, Patrick can make it so!
